Coffee Table: Fitting the Mortise & Tenon of the Legs

Today was mostly spent joining the legs onto the short rails with mortise and tenons. The tenons were made on the tablesaw and bandsaw; mortise made on the mortiser.

The rounding of the tenons were done with a file

At the right, you can see a template made from a spare piece of wood using the same settings on the mortiser. I used this to check the shape of the tenons as I filed.

Finally, after a grueling hour of filing and planing, the tenons fit the mortises! YAY
